Free from sexism and sexual harassment at school

Gender-based violence in schools refers to acts or threats of sexual, physical, or psychological violence committed within and around schools as a result of gender norms and stereotypes. Despite this, we continue to fail to safeguard students from harmful social phenomena such as sexism, sexual harassment, and homophobic violence. Because of the digitalization of the social domain, these behaviors have assumed numerous forms, making our society and victims more vulnerable.

FREASCO’s goal is to make it easier to detect and report sexism and sexual harassment early on, to develop digital tools to reduce gender-based violence, and to provide assistance to schools, universities and policy makers in general.
